Quality Assurance - ISO 9001:2001
This is an internationally recognised certification, which denotes a quality company and proves that a company is conforming with all relevant legislation and best practice. With this standard in place, our new and existing customers can be confident beyond doubt that their particular quality requirements are clearly understood and being promptly and efficiently handled. This is why Fairway & Kenwood has an ISO 9001 quality management system in place.
Environmental Assurance - ISO 14001:2004
Fairway & Kenwood gained ISO 14001:2004 in 2007. This accreditation is by far the most proven way for companies to establish a positive environmental commitment. In addressing and implementing this worldwide EMS standard we have a good framework to manage our impact on the environment.
ISO 14001:2004 sets out how you can establish, document and maintain an effective EMS which will demonstrate to customers and other interested parties that we are committed to controlling and reducing the impacts on the environment.
The EMS is part of the described organisational commitment and allows us to:
- Develop an environmental policy
- Identify environmental aspects and their associated impacts
- Establish relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Implement a documented EMS, which would include elements of training, operational controls and dealing with emergencies
- Monitor and measure operational activities relevant to the environment
- Regular review of the EMS to ensure its continuing effectiveness and suitability.
Health & Safety Assurance - ISO 18001:2007
Fairway & Kenwood has also gained the ISO 18001:2007 standard for its health and safety management system.
OHSAS 18001:2004 is an auditable occupational health and safety system standard, developed by approximately a dozen registration and standards producing bodies. It was developed to address a desire by many organisations on a global scale to have some type of standardised occupational health and safety standard to use and be registered or certified to.
The Despatch Association
We are also members of the Despatch Association who keep us updated with any legal requirements as new legislation that is relevant to our business.
Information Commissioners Office
As well as the above we are registered with the Information Commissioners Office for the whole company’s data management system. This gives our clients the confidence of our compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Public Carriage Office
We are a fully licensed Private Hire Operator, licensed by the Public Carriage Office. All our drivers and vehicles are fully licensed are regularly inspected to maintain standards required by the Public Carriage Office for the carriage of passengers and/or goods.
